Construction is making significant strides on 14 Fifth Avenue, a 19-story residential building located in Greenwich Village, Manhattan. The development, led by Madison Realty Capital and designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects alongside Hill West Architects, is set to deliver 20 luxury condominiums. The site, situated between East 8th and East 9th Streets and just north of Washington Square Park, was acquired by the developers for $27.5 million in 2015.

The project had faced delays due to structural damage to adjacent buildings during the foundation work, halting construction until May 2023. Since then, the reinforced concrete superstructure has begun to rise above street level. Recent updates reveal that the building has now reached the fourth story, with metal shoring in place to support each floor. Steel rebar is visible, marking where future columns and inner walls will be constructed.
The building, standing at 241 feet, is expected to top out in the first half of 2025. While the design remains consistent with the original renderings, featuring RAMSA’s signature gray brick and limestone detailing, there is no confirmation of any modifications to the initial design. The upper floors are planned to include multiple setbacks with terraces and balconies. A new timeline for the project’s completion has not yet been provided.
