Framing is complete for a new mixed-use development at 6007 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. The project is being developed by CIM Group and rises across from Emerson College’s Los Angeles campus. The seven-story structure is now fully framed, roughly 18 months after construction updates first surfaced.

What the project will deliver to the neighborhood

Plans call for 109 studio, one, and two-bedroom apartments built above a parking structure with 196 vehicle spaces. The ground floor will include approximately 14,600 square feet of retail space. Density bonus incentives allowed the project to exceed base zoning limits. In exchange, 14 apartments will be designated as deed-restricted affordable housing for very low-income households.

Design and architectural team

The project was designed by Donaldson + Partners, with Lahmon Architects serving as architect of record. Renderings show a contemporary podium-style building clad in stucco and corrugated metal panels. Planned amenities include a landscaped courtyard and multiple outdoor deck areas.
