In June 1983, shortly after the release of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, actor Harrison Ford purchased a distinguished Los Angeles property for $1 million. The Brentwood estate, originally crafted by architect Gerard Colcord, served as Ford’s residence for almost three decades until he sold it in 2012 for $8.2 million to Kevin Reilly, the former Chief Content Officer of HBO Max.

A Series of High-Profile Owners

Reilly only held onto the property for four years before selling it in 2016 to Evan Spiegel, the billionaire CEO of Snapchat, and his wife, model Miranda Kerr, for $12 million. However, after approximately eight years, Spiegel and Kerr decided to move out, anticipating the completion of their new $120 million estate in Holmby Hills.

Luxurious Features and Amenities

The main mansion, built in 1951 and situated on 0.8 acres of land, boasts 7,164 square feet of living space with four bedrooms, each equipped with its own ensuite bathroom. Additionally, there are multiple guest suites and a total of seven bathrooms across the property. The house features a grand two-story foyer, spacious formal living and dining rooms, a cozy library, and a family room, all adorned with elegant wood paneling, extensive cabinetry, and intricate moldings. The kitchen is updated with skylights, marble countertops, and high-end appliances, including a glass-fronted SubZero refrigerator. Other amenities include an office, wine cellar, and four original fireplaces.

Exquisite Outdoor Spaces

The gated estate offers a long, gated driveway leading to a circular motorcourt and a two-car attached garage. Terraced gardens, brick terraces, lush lawns, and upper-level balconies with city views complement the property's outdoor features.

A Hollywood Haven Through the Years

Despite selling the Brentwood estate, Harrison Ford still divides his time between Brentwood and Wyoming’s Jackson Hole community, where he owns a picturesque ranch.

The property is currently listed for just under $20 million, presenting an opportunity for affluent buyers to own a piece of Hollywood history.
