Fashion powerhouse Dolce & Gabbana ventures into real estate with a collaboration with Studio Sofield to design their inaugural branded skyscraper in Miami's Brickell neighborhood.
The Tower and its Features
The 90-storey "888 Brickell" tower will stand at 1,049 feet, offering 259 Dolce & Gabbana-designed residences along with dining venues, bars, and various amenities such as a pool deck, event spaces, and fitness centers.
Architectural Design and Aesthetic
Renderings reveal a sleek tower with double-height windows, accentuated by open-air amenity spaces atop the base and on the roof. The facade, inspired by modernist and Milanese mid-century designs, incorporates ivory travertine, matte black steel beams, and gold and bronze highlights. Interior designs by Milan-based M2Atelier feature dark, moody spaces adorned with metallic touches and animal-print furniture.
Dolce & Gabbana's Signature Style
The interiors reflect the fashion house's signature hues of black, gold, and red, with luxurious materials like black marble and sumptuous textures such as velvet. A grand staircase leads to private check-in areas and lounges, while event spaces and dining venues boast a blend of exquisite finishes.
Innovative Residences
Dolce & Gabbana introduces a unique design concept where residences can transform into multiple individual rooms and suites, accommodating both owners and hotel guests without compromising privacy.
Development and Timeline
Expected for completion in 2028, the project is developed by JDS Development Group, known for other prominent architectural endeavors in Miami. Notable nearby developments include the Mercedes Benz residential tower and Bentley-branded residences.
Miami's Skyline Evolution
The Dolce & Gabbana tower adds to Miami's burgeoning skyline, joining other notable skyscrapers like the Aston Martin residences, Okan Tower, and Baccarat Residences, contributing to the city's architectural diversity and vibrancy.
