In a recent session with the City's Planning Commission, Divine Hotels Group laid out its vision for a transformative project along West Pico Boulevard in Los Angeles. The proposed 125-room hotel, situated at 2250-2270 West Pico Blvd., promises to be a game-changer for the vibrant Pico-Union neighborhood.

Architectural Marvel by JWDA Architects

Embarking on this venture with designs crafted by JWDA Architects, Divine Hotels Group envisions two six-story hotel buildings reaching a maximum height of 77 feet. The architectural aesthetic is a harmonious blend of geometric forms, featuring a lively palette of glass, metal, and wood panels.

Essential Elements and Contemporary Design

The ground floor of both buildings is set to host key elements such as the hotel lobby, breakfast space, and entrances to subterranean parking levels. As you ascend, mezzanine levels will unfold additional office and storage spaces, leading to the second floor, where the hotel courtyard, pool, and guest rooms await. The guest rooms, strategically placed on upper floors, promise a serene retreat for visitors.

Strategic Location and Connectivity

Nestled on five parcels in Pico-Union, the project strategically situates itself near various Metro bus lines, including routes 28, 200, 204, 603, and Rapid 728, 733, and 754. Enhancing its connectivity, a nearby bus stop at the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and West Pico Boulevard adds a seamless transportation option for future patrons.

Demolition, Construction, and Anticipated Timeline

The undertaking involves the demolition of an existing commercial building on the site, marking the beginning of a construction journey expected to span approximately 12 months. The process will unfold in three main stages: demolition/site clearing, site preparation, and the culmination with the rise of the new hotel building. Divine Hotels Group's ambitious project signals a significant development in the ever-evolving landscape of Los Angeles.
