Demolition Permit Filed for Mandarin Oriental, Miami

A demolition permit was filed on January 10 for the site of the highly anticipated Residences at The Mandarin Oriental, Miami. 

Demolition Plans and Contractor Details

The permit outlines plans to demolish 527,824 square feet of existing structures, including the existing Mandarin Oriental, Miami hotel, at an estimated cost of $1,072,500. BG Group has been designated as the demolition contractor to oversee the process.

Hotel Closure and Site Preparation

The Mandarin Oriental, Miami hotel is expected to close on May 31, 2025. After the closure, the hotel will be demolished to make way for the new two-tower development.

A Landmark Development by Swire Properties

Swire Properties is spearheading the luxury development. The project will feature two architecturally significant towers. The first tower will rise approximately 800 feet and feature 228 luxury Mandarin Oriental Residences, while the second tower, standing about 400 feet tall, will house the North American flagship Mandarin Oriental Hotel alongside additional private residences.
