Grammy-winning vocalist Dan Reynolds, the lead singer of the globally acclaimed rock band Imagine Dragons, recently pocketed a cool $16.7 million from the sale of his Malibu property. Tucked away in the eastern end of Malibu's Broad Beach, this tropical oasis was once a retreat for Hollywood power couple Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. In this article, we delve into the details of this multi-million-dollar transaction.

A Star-Studded History

The Malibu mansion, built in the late '70s, carries with it a rich Hollywood heritage. Previously, it belonged to Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, who adorned the house with an eclectic collection of Buddhas and other unique furnishings during their stay. In 2013, the property changed hands for $9.5 million. Remarkably, the new owner retained many of the couple's furnishings, including their quirky four-poster bed in the master suite. Dan Reynolds purchased the house and, much like the previous owner, made minimal alterations, preserving the charm of the Hawn and Russell era.

A Glimpse Inside

The property, hidden behind imposing walls and gates, offers a serene bamboo-filled courtyard watched over by a stone Ganesha. It connects the detached three-car garage to the spacious 4,200 sq. ft. main house. Inside, a grand foyer leads to a double-height living room with a stone fireplace and wet bar. Adjacent to it, the dining room is adorned with ornate furnishings, including a crystal chandelier and unique decorative pieces. The dining room seamlessly flows into the gourmet kitchen, fully equipped with high-end stainless appliances.

The Luxurious Master Suite and More

Upstairs, the master suite boasts a fireplace, a roomy closet, a private ocean-view balcony, and a bathroom crafted mainly from Chinese onyx. Additionally, the main house features two guest suites, a Creston-operated media room, and a spacious office. The detached garage houses a charming guesthouse, complete with a bedroom, bath, kitchenette, and a sitting area that can double as a gym. The backyard offers an oceanside alfresco dining terrace, framed by the main home's impressive smoked glass wall. Several fountains, an outdoor fireplace, and private trails leading to the beach complete the lavish property.

Malibu's Celebrity Neighborhood

This luxurious property is not the only gem in Malibu's Broad Beach. It shares its neighborhood with illustrious residents like Pierce Brosnan, Ray Romano, Marta Kauffman (creator of "Friends"), Dustin Hoffman, and Mindy Kaling. The allure of this picturesque enclave, with its stunning ocean views and lavish amenities, continues to attract the well-heeled looking to live their Malibu dreams.
