Convene Secures 72K SF Flex Office Lease at Related's 30 Hudson Yards

Convene has secured a 72,000-square-foot lease at 30 Hudson Yards, a towering Class A+ office building in Manhattan. The deal, brokered by CBRE, includes full occupancy of the 24th floor for Convene’s new experiential event venue. Additionally, Convene has leased 2,770 square feet of retail space at the ground-floor level, which will be transformed into a dedicated lobby and welcoming area.

A Diverse Ownership Structure

The 101-story skyscraper has several ownership partners, including notable entities like Time Warner Inc., which holds 1.5 million square feet of space, KKR, Wells Fargo Securities, DNB, Oxford Properties Group, and Related Cos. Each of these partners maintains offices within the building.

A New Event Space by Convene

Convene’s upcoming event space, named Convene 30 Hudson Yards, will feature 10 customizable venues designed to accommodate various functions. The centerpiece of this venue will be a grand hall with seating for up to 780 guests, with overall capacity nearing 1,500. The new space is set to open by next summer, providing a fresh option for large-scale events in New York City.

Overview of 30 Hudson Yards

Completed in 2019, 30 Hudson Yards is located at 500 W. 33rd St. and rises 1,296 feet into the Manhattan skyline. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, the skyscraper became the second-tallest building in New York City at the time of its completion. The building offers a wide range of amenities, including 30 passenger elevators, outdoor terraces, and convenient access to the subway lines.

In addition to office spaces, the tower is home to The Edge, an outdoor observation deck that offers stunning views of the city, and the City Climb at Edge, a unique outdoor staircase that allows visitors to ascend to the top of the building. The property has earned LEED Gold certification and is situated just 30 miles from John F. Kennedy International Airport.
