Clearline Lists Shawmut Design and Construction as Contractor for 427-Unit Excel Miami

Shawmut Design and Construction has been named as the contractor on record for the Excel Miami apartment project. Groundbreaking is set to commence in the coming months.

What’s next: Shawmut, an employee-owned national construction management firm boasting a value of $1.3 billion, has taken on this venture. As per Miami Building Department records, Shawmut was officially listed as the contractor for the construction permit of the project on September 20th, 2023. The permit is currently under review.

The teams behind this project: The developer behind this project is Clearline, a 100% woman-owned company headquartered in New York and Miami. Clearline currently has approximately 1,200 multifamily units in its Miami pipeline. Arquitectonica is the designated design architect for the project, with Leo A Daly acting as the architect of record.

What the project entails: Excel Miami is designed to encompass approximately 338,000 square feet across 24 stories, featuring 424 residential units, including 216 micro-units and a four-level garage with 128 parking spaces.

The development site is conveniently situated near the School Board Metromover station, enhancing its transit accessibility.
