Cityview & Stockbridge Kick-off Construction of Transit-oriented Multifamily Community in LA

Cityview and Stockbridge have partnered up and initiated the construction phase for a new multifamily project in Los Angeles. 

What we know about the project: It will be called Apollo, and it will feature 265 units. If everything goes according to plan, it will reach completion in the year 2025. 

How the partnership came to be: Cityview and Stockbridge joined forces initially to acquire the site for Apollo from Dinerstein Cos. for a sum of $22.3 million in February 2022. Subsequently, the project secured an undisclosed amount of construction financing from City National Bank and Banc of California. 

The team working with Apollo: The development team has enlisted WPIC Construction as the general contractor, AC Martin as the architect, Nadia Geller Designs as the interior designer, and MJS Landscape Architecture as the landscape architect.

What tenants can expect: Once fully developed, Apollo will feature studios and one- and two-bedroom units fully furnished with modern amenities such as smart thermostats, keyless entry, and smart home systems. In addition to that, there will be lots of amenities including a pool with a spa deck, coworking spaces with private sections and a conference room, a "maker space" with facilities like a podcast room and a 3D printer, a community room with a commercial-grade kitchen, and a fitness center. Residents of Apollo will also have access to bike lockers, storage, courtyards, and a transit kiosk providing public transportation schedules and information. The property hopes to get LEED Silver and FitWel certifications.

Location, location, location: Situated at 12888 Crenshaw Blvd., the transit-oriented Apollo is conveniently located just two blocks away from the Metro Green Line. Residents will enjoy nearby access to prominent locations including the Los Angeles International Airport, SoFi Stadium, as well as major employers like SpaceX, the Tesla Design Center, and Ring.
