Cityview and Stockbridge have completed Apollo, a new 265-unit apartment community in Los Angeles’ South Bay, adding modern rental supply to one of the region’s fastest-growing employment hubs. Located at 12888 Crenshaw Boulevard in Gardena, the eight-story development is now leasing and positioned near aerospace, automotive, and technology employers driving job growth across the South Bay.
Workforce-Oriented Location
Apollo sits within five miles of more than 260,000 jobs, offering residents access to major employment centers while remaining connected to transit and freeways. The property is two blocks from the Metro Green Line and provides convenient access to the 405, 105, and 91 freeways. Its proximity to Los Angeles International Airport, SoFi Stadium, the Intuit Dome, and South Bay beaches reinforces the area’s appeal to renters seeking both employment access and lifestyle amenities.
Unit Mix and Features
The community offers studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments finished with features aimed at higher-end renters. Residences include in-unit washers and dryers, luxury vinyl plank flooring, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, gas ranges, and smart home technology such as keyless entry and smart thermostats. Select units feature floor-to-ceiling windows, private balconies, and walk-in closets. High-speed internet and Wi-Fi are available throughout the property to support remote and hybrid work.
Amenity-Heavy Design
Apollo includes a broad amenity package designed to support work, wellness, and social activity. Highlights include a resort-style pool and spa terrace with views of the South Bay, an outdoor kitchen and dining area, a media and clubroom, and an indoor sports simulator with virtual golf.
Additional amenities include a fitness center connected to an outdoor training deck, coworking space under the CV Works brand, EV charging stations, covered bike storage, and pet-friendly features, including a wash station and play area. A large-format digital display on the building exterior will host advertising and community programming.
Sustainability and Development Team
Planned to achieve LEED Silver certification, Apollo is designed to be 20 to 30 percent more efficient than comparable non-green buildings. Sustainable elements include high-efficiency windows and HVAC systems, Energy Star appliances, solar thermal water heating, and low-flow plumbing fixtures. The project team included Westport Construction, AC Martin, Nadia Geller Designs, and MJS Landscape Architecture.
Bottom Line
Apollo adds new rental inventory to a South Bay market defined by job growth and limited housing supply. For Cityview and Stockbridge, the project reflects continued confidence in workforce oriented multifamily near major employment centers as demand for well located rentals remains strong.
