According to a recent RentCafe report, Chicago leads the pack among its peer metros with over 2,800 conversions slated for completion by 2024, and a staggering total of more than 5,100 projects in progress. LaSalle St. The development aims to transform the five-floor block of office space located above the distressed JW Marriott Chicago hotel and below the newly constructed LaSalle Hotel into 280 modern apartments, including 84 affordable units. Crain's reports that the completion of this transformative project is expected in September 2024.
