Construction is progressing on 19 Rockwell Place, a 27-story residential building in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. The structure, designed by Daniel Goldner Architects for Chesky Rosen under 19 Rockwell Place LLC, will stand 304 feet tall and include 172 rental units. These units will range from studios to two-bedroom layouts, occupying a total of 120,000 square feet. The building is situated on an interior lot between Fulton Street and Dekalb Avenue.

Recent photographs highlight the development of the reinforced concrete superstructure above the podium. The building’s distinctive architectural element, a series of angled balconies, is already visible on the western elevation. Construction is expected to progress steadily due to the repetitive floor plate design and limited setbacks. Renderings display the staggered arrangement of these balconies across the western face, protruding from a façade made of folded aluminum panels and floor-to-ceiling windows and doors. The northern edge of the upper half of this elevation features a continuous glass enclosure that wraps around the corner, adding visual variety. At night, the illuminated geometric paneling and jagged balconies will create an eye-catching effect.
The building will offer various amenities, including terraces, a rooftop lounge with skyline views, and on-site parking. These features will enhance the living experience for residents.
The property is conveniently located near several subway lines. The B, Q, and R trains can be accessed at the Dekalb Avenue station, while the 2, 3, 4, and 5 trains are available at the nearby Nevins Street station, both accessible to the west along Flatbush Avenue Extension.
The completion of 19 Rockwell Place is anticipated for next spring, as noted on the construction site.
