Construction is progressing rapidly on the new hotel tower at 711 Seventh Avenue in Times Square. This 32-story building, designed by Gene Kaufman Architect, is being developed through a partnership between Flintlock Construction Services and Atlas Hospitality. Operating under the VOCO brand by IHG Hotel & Resorts, the tower will stand at 343 feet and offer 400 guest rooms. The property is also known by its alternate address, 170 West 48th Street, and is situated on an L-shaped plot with frontages on both Seventh Avenue and West 48th Street.

Since the last update in March, the reinforced concrete superstructure has seen significant progress, with the building now nearing its full height. Recent images reveal that only a few floors remain to be constructed, and the glass curtain wall is quickly following suit on the northern and western sides of the building. Based on the current pace, the building is expected to reach its maximum height by the end of summer.
Renderings show that the completed tower will have distinct architectural features, including two blank lot line walls on the northern and western elevations, which will be covered with gray EIFS paneling. These walls border a lower-rise building on the block's corner. The ground floor will include two storefronts with large windows, and a billboard will be placed on the western podium facing Times Square. Upper floors will feature balconies and terrace areas, adding to the building's modern design.
The construction is backed by a $120 million loan arranged by Beach Point Capital Management. The location offers convenient access to public transportation, with the N, R, and W subway lines available at the 49th Street station on Seventh Avenue and the 1 train at the 50th Street station on Broadway.
The project is slated for completion in December 2025, as indicated on-site, promising a new addition to the bustling Times Square area.
