Americold Realty Trust Launches $127M Cold Storage Facility in Kansas City

Americold Realty Trust, Inc., a prominent provider of temperature-controlled logistics and real estate, has initiated the construction of a state-of-the-art cold storage facility in Kansas City, Missouri. This $127 million investment is part of a strategic partnership with Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) to co-locate Americold's warehouse facilities within CPKC's network. The project aims to bolster the region's economy by creating nearly 190 new job opportunities.

Supporting Rail Service and Enhancing Logistics

Spanning an expansive 335,000 square feet, the new facility will play a pivotal role in supporting CPKC's Mexico Midwest Express (MMX) service. This service stands as North America's sole single-line rail offering for refrigerated shippers, facilitating seamless transportation between U.S. Midwest markets and Mexico.
