A significant residential development is currently in progress at 5420 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, Los Angeles. This initiative comprises the construction of four six-story mixed-use towers, providing accommodations for over 700 residential units and accommodating retail establishments. Entitlements for the project were successfully secured in September 2022.
The team behind the project: Malibu-based American Commercial Equities and TCA Architects are developing and designing these towers. Overall, the development site will span 6.7 acres, formerly occupied by a Food4Less shopping center. Construction is underway at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Western Avenue.
The project in numbers: This mixed-use project is slated to bring a total of 735 apartments and retail outlets, spanning an expansive 95,000 square feet across the four six-story structures. The apartment units will be thoughtfully crafted, offering a variety of layouts, including studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom configurations. Parking for the development will be situated in a partially-subterranean garage at the rear of the site, with the capacity to accommodate around 1,400 vehicles.
The unique characteristics of the development: The construction project will be intersected by a T-shaped pathway, linking Western, Sunset, and Serrano Avenue. Additionally, the complex will feature a series of courtyards and amenities at its core.
Anticipated to span approximately 48 months, the construction is expected to finish in 2026.
