Alfred Sanzari Enterprises, a family-owned commercial and residential real estate firm, has initiated a significant capital improvement project at the Glenpointe Marriott in Teaneck, New Jersey. This 351-room full-service hotel, situated within the Glenpointe corporate campus, is set to see its renovation completed by fall 2024.
The project is managed by Alfred Sanzari Enterprises' in-house construction team in collaboration with HotelStudio and Kimmerle Newman Architects. The renovation focuses on modernizing the hotel’s 39,317-square-foot meeting and event space. Inspired by the nearby Palisades Interstate Park, the redesign will blend natural elements with a contemporary aesthetic. Upgrades include new carpeting, wallcoverings, paint, and furniture across the first and second-floor pre-function spaces, boardrooms, meeting rooms, and the 1,200-person capacity ballroom. Artwork by New Jersey artist Leena Joshi, curated by Soho Art Consulting, will complement the new design.
The Glenpointe Marriott is one of three hotels located on the Glenpointe live-work-stay campus, which also includes the 350-room Hampton Inn & Suites and Homewood Suites dual-branded hotel, built in 2018.
Ryan Sanzari, president of Alfred Sanzari Enterprises, emphasized the importance of continuous investment in their properties to maintain high standards. "The success of our long-term ownership strategy is powered by proactive and strategic investments in our properties to ensure they remain best in class," he said. He expressed excitement about the upgrades to their flagship property, aiming to keep it a premier destination for various events in New Jersey.
David Cirincione, market general manager of the Glenpointe Marriott and adjacent hotels, highlighted the enhancement of the meeting facilities. "We are taking our meeting facilities from good to great with this investment," he stated, anticipating that groups from 10 to 900 people will benefit from the upgrades before the end of the year.
