Construction progress at 640 NE 34th Street
Apartment Investment and Management Company (Aimco) has brought Hamilton House to its full 38-story height at 640 NE 34th Street in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood. The waterfront tower will rise 497 feet and deliver 114 residential rental units overlooking Biscayne Bay. General contractor Americaribe Grycon is leading construction, with architecture by Stantec.
What current construction activity shows
Aerial photography indicates the reinforced concrete superstructure has reached its full structural height, with crews finalizing work on the roof slab and mechanical bulkhead levels. Glazing installation has advanced beyond the midway point, enclosing much of the lower and middle floors. Upper levels remain wrapped in safety netting as crews complete load-bearing wall systems and exterior finishing.
What the project means for Aimco’s Edgewater footprint
Hamilton House rises on a multi-parcel assemblage previously acquired by Aimco, forming a central component of the firm’s expanding Edgewater portfolio. The tower sits directly across from The Hamilton, a 276-unit community that recently underwent a $100 million renovation before changing ownership.
Timeline and market positioning
Exterior façade work continues alongside structural wrap-up on the upper mechanical tiers. Hamilton House remains on schedule for delivery in the third quarter of 2027, adding new high-rise rental inventory to Miami’s growing waterfront multifamily market
