The affordable housing lottery has launched for 880 Atlantic Avenue, also known as Eight80 BK, a 19 story mixed use development in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. The building was developed by EMP Capital Group and designed by Isaac & Stern Architects. In total, the project contains 257 residential units. Applications for 65 affordable apartments are currently available through NYC Housing Connect.

What units are available through the lottery

The affordable housing component spans multiple income tiers ranging from 40 percent to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI). Available units include studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. Monthly rents range from approximately $962 for a studio at the lowest AMI tier to $3,250 for a two-bedroom at the highest income bracket. Eligible applicants must meet specific income and household-size requirements to qualify.

Amenities and residential features

Eight80 BK offers a wide range of amenities designed to attract urban renters. Shared spaces include a game room, movie theater, coworking lounge, gym, children’s playroom, courtyard, sauna, cold plunge, pickleball court, and landscaped outdoor areas. Apartments feature washers and dryers, air conditioning, balconies or patios, and brand-name kitchen appliances and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity costs, including stove use, heating, and hot water.

Application timeline

Prospective renters can apply online or by mail through the city’s housing lottery system. Applications must be submitted or postmarked by May 8, 2026. Selected applicants will move forward through the standard eligibility review and housing lottery process.
