84 Lumber, a leading name in the building materials supply sector, is set to broaden its horizons with the launch of several new outlets and a component plant in California. This move is part of the company's strategic expansion plan in the Western region, reinforcing its commitment to serving customers and communities more effectively.
As part of its expansion strategy, 84 Lumber is set to open new stores in Stockton, Lancaster, and Riverside, the latter being the former site of Champion Lumber. Additionally, a truss plant and a framing yard are planned for Bakersfield, complementing the already established stores in Bakersfield, Clovis, and Beaumont. This will bring the total number of 84 Lumber locations in California to eight.
84 Lumber's COO, Frank Cicero, expressed his excitement about the growth and development of these new stores over the next five years. He emphasized the company's commitment to California and its intention to provide more opportunities for associates in these markets. Jorge Espinoza, the divisional vice president for the western division, who began his career with 84 Lumber in California, echoed these sentiments, expressing his excitement about the company's growth in his home state.
84 Lumber's expansion is not limited to California. The company plans to extend a component plant in Yuma, AZ to service southern California. Future stores are also planned for Reno, NV and the Salinas/California coastal area. Currently, 84 Lumber operates 310 facilities nationwide, including 234 stores, 14 component manufacturing plants, 28 engineered wood product (EWP) centers, and 34 door shops.
