Aloft Hotel's Stunning 642FT Glass Façade Nearing Completion in Hudson Yards

The gleaming glass façade of the 51-story Aloft Hotel at 450 Eleventh Avenue in Hudson Yards is approaching its final stages of construction. Designed by DSM Design Group and developed by Marx Development Group, this towering structure, rising to 642 feet, is set to become a 379-room hotel offering various amenities, including a business center, a ballroom, and a restaurant with an outdoor terrace on its fourth floor. The project's curtain wall is supplied by Custom Metalcrafters, and Atria Builders serves as the general contractor for this prime location at the corner of West 37th Street and Eleventh Avenue, just across from the Jacob K. Javits Center.

A Remarkable Progress Update

In our last update at the end of August, curtain wall installation was in its early stages, following a significant delay in construction. Since then, the glass façade has swiftly enveloped the building's jagged floor plates and reached near-completion. The construction crane has been dismantled, leaving only a few sections still awaiting their cladding. The most notable area yet to be finished is the western corner facing Eleventh Avenue, where the construction hoist remains in operation. The southern and eastern concrete walls will eventually be covered with EIFS panels. Although a revised completion date has not been officially announced, we anticipate that 450 Eleventh Avenue will wrap up construction in the latter half of 2024.
