Preparations are underway for the remarkable rebirth of 25 Water Street, a 22-story office building located in Manhattan's Financial District. The collaborative efforts of CetraRuddy, GFP Real Estate, Metro Loft Management, and Rockwood Capital will breathe new life into this structure, surpassing all previous residential conversions in the United States.
With ten additional stories to be built above the existing structure, the building's brick facade will make way for a modern fenestration, featuring expansive windows that flood the interior with light and air. Once completed, 25 Water Street will boast 1,300 rental units, becoming a symbol of architectural prowess.
Anticipated for November 2025, this transformative project will offer studio to four-bedroom layouts with ceiling spans up to 12 feet. The floors will accommodate approximately 50 units each. The revitalized space will also offer an array of amenities, including a basketball court, steam room, sauna, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sports simulators, coworking spaces, and entertainment areas.
The revitalization of 25 Water Street promises to be a significant milestone for the area. Stay tuned as this architectural marvel takes shape and ushers in a new chapter in Manhattan's history.
