West Town Welcomes New Residential Building at 2039 W Huron Street

Exciting news for prospective homeowners and real estate investors: a new residential building is set to rise in the heart of West Town. The project, located at 2039 W Huron Street, has recently received the green light, with a self-certified permit approved after a 108-day review process.

Project Overview

The development is spearheaded by 2037-39WHuron, LLC, and is expected to be a three-story building with five residential units. The design, courtesy of architect John Hanna, promises a blend of modern living and outdoor spaces. The building will feature a rooftop deck, a rear porch/terrace on the first floor, a front deck on the second floor, and a rear porch on the third floor. Parking won't be an issue, with a detached three-car and two-car garage, both equipped with rooftop decks.

Construction Details

Bachula Development Inc, a reputable Chicago-based contractor, will oversee the general construction. Known for their expertise in residential projects, they will ensure the project meets the highest standards. The masonry work, a key element in the building’s structural integrity and aesthetic, will be a collaborative effort between Casey Masonry Brick, Inc. and Tir Conaill Concrete, Inc.

Budget and Location

The project comes with a budget of $2,153,400, with permit fees amounting to $13,878.24. The location of the building is a major selling point. Future residents will enjoy easy access to public transportation, with stops for the 50 bus line nearby, and a 4-minute walk to stops for the 66 bus line. Additionally, stops for the 49 and 65 bus lines are a 7-minute walk to the south, and the Western Avenue Metra Station is an 18-minute walk to the southwest.
