Steven Hornstock is co-managing partner and director of investment sales at ABS Partners Real Estate, a New York City-based brokerage, consultancy, and property management firm. He is an active sales broker in New York City and continues to source and acquire investment properties for clients of ABS. His work experience has also included residential development and land assemblage. Like many ABS employees and especially its founding partners, Hornstock is an ex-Helmsley-Spear executive. He is also a New York native who grew up in Jamaica, Queens. From 1991 to 1999, he worked as director of investment sales at the real estate firm founded by the late tycoon Harry B. Helmsley.
In its day, Helmsley-Spear was the largest privately held real estate company in the United States, but was gradually wound down following its founders death in 1997 and acquired in 2007 by a Kent Swig-led investment group.
