SpaceX has signed a binding commitment to lease approximately $40 billion in AI chips and data-center equipment from an entity managed by Apollo Global Management, with Apollo and Goldman Sachs leading the financing group and BlackRock funds and KKR-advised accounts making anchor commitments. The five-year lease, which remains unfinalized and is expected to close by the end of 2026, will fund Nvidia’s next-generation Vera Rubin GPUs, with deliveries expected to begin in the first half of 2027. CEO Elon Musk said SpaceX had closed $40 billion in GPU debt, but the filing indicates the deal’s interest rate and final terms remain undetermined.
