About

Mr. Malas is a Managing Partner at IRA Capital, where he helps lead the firm’s investment strategy and capital raising for its private funds and syndicated offerings. With a distinguished career in real estate, he has played a key role in the acquisition, financing, and development of over $5 billion in real estate investments across various asset types. Prior to IRA Capital, Mr. Malas founded Dana Investments, a full-service real estate company he has operated since 1984. Mr. Malas is actively involved in educational intuitions and serves as a Board of Trustee at both Claremont Graduate University and the University of California Irvine Foundation. He is also a founding board member of the UC Irvine Beall Center for Applied Innovation and the Mission Hospital Foundation. Mr. Malas holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada, and has completed YPO’s Executive Program at Harvard Business School.
