Donald is a Principal and co-founder of Avanti Properties Group. For more than 35 years, he has been on Avanti’s Investment Committee and has overseen Avanti’s investor relations, finance, and administration. Donald is also Chairman of Avanti Investment Advisors. Donald sits on the Dean's Advisory Council of the Schulich School of Business at York University and on the Advisory Board of Schulich's Program in Real Property and Infrastructure. Donald also serves as a director of the offshore funds of Bardin Hill Investment Partners of New York. He is a past Board Chairman and Director of Humber River Hospital, where he was most recently Chairman of its Building Committee and responsible for overseeing the construction of North America's first fully digital hospital, a $1.7 billion, 656 bed, 1.8 million square foot facility in northwest Toronto. Donald received a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and an Honors BA in business administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University.
