About

Don began his journey with Federal Realty in 1998, where he is a trustee and has served in positions from chief financial officer to president, before ascending to chief executive in 2003. Prior to joining Federal, he spent eight years at ITT Corporation in New York, fulfilling roles such as deputy controller and chief financial officer of Caesars World, Inc. His early career at Arthur Andersen led to a notable position as vice president of finance for the then newly acquired Trump Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. A graduate with honors from Montclair State College with a CPA certification in New Jersey, Don’s leadership and vision have been recognized across the industry. He formerly chaired NAREIT, contributed as a member of the ICSC executive committee, served on the board of Quality Care Properties, and was involved with the World President’s Organization’s U.S. Capital Chapter. Ernst and Young acknowledged his innovative impact in real estate by naming him “Entrepreneur of the Year in Real Estate.” Beyond his corporate achievements, Don is deeply committed to philanthropy, particularly with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
