Brett Katz is a Co-founder and Principal of Range Group, a real estate development and management company focusing on ground up and value add opportunities across asset classes. With over 20 years’ experience in real estate transactions and property management across the Midwest, Brett previously owned and operated Aries Real Estate to focus on value acquisitions of select commercial, multifamily and retail properties. In his role, Brett oversees all business activities and operations including the management of both Range’s real estate owned assets and third-party managed properties. Prior to founding Range Group, Brett was a principal at R&D Katz Real Estate after starting his career at Marcus & Millichap, a leading national in-vestment real estate company. Brett is actively involved in the International Council for Shopping Centers and served on the board of the Jewish United Fund. He also served on the board of the Parkinson’s Disease Research Society from 2010-2019, where he raised over $10 million to establish a research chair at Northwestern Hospital.
