Adam J. Morris, PhD, serves as the 18th president of Azusa Pacific University. With more than 30 years of Christian higher education experience, Morris recognizes that leadership is a sacred trust and is humbled to steward the mission and vision of APU during this season of its history. Prayer, spiritual discernment, mission faithfulness, and clear decision making have been hallmarks of his presidency. Prior to this role, Morris served in various leadership capacities in other organizations including executive vice president, chief transformation officer, and chief advancement officer. Morris has a long history of working with university stakeholders to secure external financial support and has a keen interest in university-wide strategic planning, especially amidst the changing landscape facing all of higher education. Morris holds a BS in Business Administration and Marketing, an MA in Theology, and a PhD in Christian Education from Talbot School of Theology.
