Mr. Goldberg has over 22 years of experience in commercial real estate investing, lending and transaction structuring. Mr. Goldberg formed Shem Creek Capital in March 2008 and is a Managing Member of all Shem Creek Capital Funds. Mr. Goldberg oversees and is responsible for all major functions at Shem Creek Capital including decisions related to investments, financing and all day-to-day operations. From 2000 through Q1 2008, Mr. Goldberg was employed by iStar Financial Inc. (NYSE: SFI), a leading publicly traded finance company focused on the commercial real estate industry. During Mr. Goldberg’s tenure at iStar Financial he was involved in various roles in both the investments and capital markets divisions of the company. Prior to joining iStar Financial, Mr. Goldberg worked at Bear, Stearns & Co. in their real estate, gaming and lodging investment banking practice with a focus on M&A and leveraged finance transactions within the real estate and gaming sectors. Mr. Goldberg graduated with high distinction from Emory University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.
