After successfully selling his medical consulting business in 2015 for a large multiple, Kent Ritter sought a way to diversify his wealth, leading him to multifamily real estate. By 2016, Kent immersed himself in multifamily real estate by investing in 10 syndications, learning from experienced operators. In 2019, he took the leap, acquiring a 250-unit Class B complex in Atlanta. He raised the capital, structured the deal as a co-GP, and officially launched Hudson Investing. His success attracted industry attention, leading to a strategic partnership with Birge & Held, a successful multifamily commercial real estate investment firm, in late 2019. Despite being offered a top role there in 2021, Kent chose to grow Hudson Investing independently. By 2022, Curtis Edwards joined as a key partner to accelerate growth.
