What the Bahia Mar Club Will Offer Residents
The Related Group, Tate Capital and Rok Acquisitions are adding a pivate waterfront wellness club to their planned St. Regis Bahia Mar development in Fort Lauderdale, positioning the project around luxury living, recreation a
d access to the water. Designed by landscape architecture firm EDSA, the one-acre Bahia Mar Club is planned exclusively for private residence owners. Amenities will include a waterfront lap pool, tennis and padel courts, a courtside viewing area, and a St. Regis-serviced clubhouse. Residents will also have access to a private lawn for yoga and tai chi, a serenity garden, a summer kitchen, an outdoor social patio, a playground and a sunset terrace with fire pits. The club will complement approximately 35,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities planned within the residences, including a spa, fitness center, private dining room, billiards lounge and children’s entertainment room.
What the $2 Billion Bahia Mar Development Includes
The Bahia Mar Club is one part of a planned 40-acre waterfront redevelopment combining residential, hospitality, marina and commercial uses. The master plan calls for 78 St. Regis private residences, a 122-key hotel and 106 resort residences. The development is also planned to include a 250-slip deepwater marina capable of accommodating yachts up to 350 feet, Marina Village, a beach club and commercial space for dining and shopping. Architecture studio Arquitectonica is leading the broader design team alongside London-based interior design firm Tara Bernerd & Partners. EDSA is responsible for the private club’s landscape design. For investors, the project illustrates how developers are combining residential sales with hospitality services and extensive amenities to differentiate high-end properties. The private club gives owners a dedicated outdoor retreat while connecting them to the wider waterfront destination.
What Fort Lauderdale’s Luxury Market Could Gain
Bahia Mar arrives as Fort Lauderdale continues to attract investment in waterfront real estate, hospitality and public-facing amenities. The development’s mix of residences, hotel rooms, marina facilities and retail is designed to create a destination rather than a standalone condominium tower. Its location and boating infrastructure are central to that strategy. The planned marina, beach club and waterfront promenade connect the residential offering to the city’s marine-oriented lifestyle, while the St. Regis brand adds a luxury hospitality component.
What Investors Should Watch Before Construction
Construction is expected to start in 2027, with delivery targeted for 2030, according to the project announcement. Current starting prices are $4.9 million for private residences and $3 million for resort residences. Those milestones remain future plans, not completed construction. Investors should monitor permitting, financing, construction progress and sales activity as the development moves toward its anticipated start date. For South Florida’s luxury market, Bahia Mar’s strategy is clear: pair high-end residences with private wellness amenities, hospitality services and direct waterfront access to create a more comprehensive lifestyle offering.
