Pastis to Open in West Palm Beach at The Nora Hotel

What Pastis Is Bringing To West Palm Beach

West Palm Beach is getting another recognizable New York hospitality name as Pastis prepares to open at The Nora Hotel this fall.

The Parisian-style brasserie will occupy the hotel's ground floor, bringing an all-day restaurant format to the NORA District. Guests can expect breakfast, lunch, cocktails and dinner, with classic dishes including steak frites, French onion soup, coq au vin, seafood towers and crème brûlée.

Pastis has been a fixture in Manhattan's Meatpacking District for more than 15 years and opened its first Florida location in Miami in 2023. The West Palm Beach restaurant will be its fifth location, according to NORA District.

What The Nora Hotel Adds To The District

The 201-room Nora Hotel is designed to be more than another hotel. It is the hospitality centerpiece of a larger redevelopment transforming former railroad warehouses along North Railroad Avenue into a walkable mix of restaurants, retail, wellness, office and hospitality.

The five-story hotel spans approximately 215,000 square feet and includes a rooftop pool, bars, event space and Sisley Spa. Stantec is the architect and Gachot Studios is responsible for interiors.

For commercial real estate investors, the important piece is the concentration of uses. The NORA District has already attracted a growing roster of retail and restaurant tenants, while future phases are expected to add residential development and additional commercial space.

What BD Hotels And Sean MacPherson Are Building

The hotel is being developed through BD Hotels, with hotelier Sean MacPherson involved in the project. The team is known for New York properties including The Bowery, The Mercer and Hotel Chelsea.

The Nora Hotel represents BD Hotels' first venture beyond Manhattan, bringing its design-driven hospitality approach into a West Palm Beach market that has attracted increasing investment, new businesses and luxury residential development.

The project also has a broader development story. NORA's first phase includes more than 156,000 square feet of retail and office space, much of it built around restored historic warehouse structures and a new pedestrian-oriented streetscape.

What Pastis Means For West Palm Beach CRE

Pastis is more than another restaurant opening. Its arrival gives the NORA District a nationally recognizable food-and-beverage anchor that can help drive traffic to the surrounding retail and hospitality uses.

The restaurant will also benefit from the hotel's built-in guest base while drawing local residents and visitors from the broader West Palm Beach and Palm Beach market. The city's redevelopment agency has identified Pastis as one of the major additions helping establish NORA as a new mixed-use destination.

The timing is significant. With The Nora Hotel expected to open in October 2026, the district is moving from a redevelopment project into a functioning hospitality and retail destination.

For landlords and developers, that shift matters. Restaurants with established brands can create daily traffic, strengthen surrounding tenant demand and help turn a mixed-use project into a destination rather than simply a collection of buildings.
