What Panepinto Properties Delivered
Panepinto Properties has unveiled the completed indoor and outdoor amenity spaces at 505 Summit, marking another milestone for its new residential tower near the Journal Square PATH station. The 605-unit development offers studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Construction wrapped in March 2026, and leasing has begun, with residents moving into the property. The building's 577-foot profile adds a major residential landmark to Journal Square, a neighborhood attracting new housing investment because of its direct rail connections to Manhattan and other parts of the New York metropolitan area.
What The Amenity Package Includes
The tower's indoor amenities are designed to support recreation, wellness and remote work. Residents have access to a lobby lounge, resident lounge, game room, karaoke room, coworking areas, children's playroom, communal pantry and pet spa. The fitness center features Technogym equipment and a dedicated yoga studio, while a multi-sport simulator adds another recreational option. Outside, the rooftop deck includes a swimming pool, sundeck, barbecue stations and dining areas, alongside a dedicated dog run. The building also provides 24-hour concierge service, package storage, bicycle parking and a garage with valet parking and electric-vehicle charging. Panepinto Properties President and CEO Joseph A. Panepinto Sr. said the amenities were designed to feel like an extension of residents' homes, with spaces for socializing, recreation and relaxation.
What The Development Adds To Journal Square
Beyond the apartments, 505 Summit includes approximately 3,200 square feet of retail space and a landscaped public plaza. The retail space is expected to welcome MENSHO, a Japanese ramen restaurant expanding into Jersey City. The project adds residential density and street-level activity near Journal Square's transit hub. The neighborhood's combination of PATH service, local businesses and cultural destinations continues to attract developers pursuing high-rise rental housing. The city's ongoing restoration of the historic Loew's Jersey Theatre at 54 Journal Square Plaza is another investment in the district's cultural and entertainment infrastructure.
What The Project Means For Rental Investors
For multifamily owners, 505 Summit highlights the competitive role of amenities in attracting renters to large urban apartment buildings. Coworking spaces, rooftop recreation, fitness facilities and pet services offer ways to differentiate properties beyond apartment finishes and location. Transit access is another major selling point. Being close to the Journal Square PATH station gives residents direct connections to Manhattan, while the project's retail and public plaza contribute to the surrounding neighborhood. With construction complete and leasing underway, 505 Summit adds 605 rental homes to Jersey City's housing supply and strengthens Panepinto Properties' presence in Journal Square.
