- Onia has opened a 1,483-square-foot pop-up at 835 N. Railroad Avenue in West Palm Beach, marking the New York lifestyle and resortwear brand’s second standalone location outside its Madison Avenue flagship.
- The store joins a growing retail lineup at Nora District, the 40-acre mixed-use neighborhood led by NDT Development, Place Projects and Wheelock Street Capital.
- Nora’s broader development includes restored warehouses, retail and office space, a 201-key hotel, 350 rental residences and a planned condominium component, positioning the district as a major live-work-play destination north of downtown West Palm Beach.
What Onia Is Bringing To Nora
Founded in 2009 by Carl Cunow and Nathan Romano, Onia is known for resortwear, swimwear and versatile everyday apparel. Its arrival adds another national lifestyle retailer to Nora's growing mix of fashion, beauty, wellness and dining concepts. The 1,483-square-foot space is located along North Railroad Avenue, where Nora has transformed historic industrial buildings into a walkable retail and dining corridor.
What Nora District Is Building
Nora is being developed as a 40-acre mixed-use district along North Railroad Avenue, combining adaptive reuse with new construction. The development team includes NDT Development, Place Projects and Wheelock Street Capital, working with the City of West Palm Beach. The district's first phase includes more than 156,000 square feet of retail and office space, with nearly two dozen retail tenants already operating or announced.
What Comes Next For Nora
The retail expansion is only one part of Nora's larger development pipeline. The district is preparing for the opening of the 201-key Nora Hotel, developed with BD Hotels and Sean MacPherson, while a 12-story, 350-unit rental building is also planned. Nora House is planned as a 12-story condominium project, with additional 15- and 20-story buildings envisioned for future phases. For landlords and investors, the strategy is notable because Nora is using retail, dining, hospitality and residential development to create a concentrated neighborhood destination rather than a standalone shopping center. Onia adds another recognizable lifestyle brand to that tenant mix as West Palm Beach continues expanding its downtown ecosystem.
