- Los Mochis, the London-based Mexican-Japanese restaurant founded by Markus Thesleff, will open its first U.S. location at Phillips Point in West Palm Beach in fall 2027.
- The waterfront restaurant will occupy approximately 11,346 square feet overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway, with views toward Palm Beach Island and the Atlantic Ocean.
- The opening comes as Related Ross completes a major modernization of Phillips Point, a 449,000-square-foot waterfront office complex that is being repositioned with new retail, restaurants and public-facing amenities.
What Los Mochis Is Bringing To West Palm Beach
Los Mochis is expanding from its London base into the U.S., bringing its signature combination of Mexican flavors and Japanese technique to Phillips Point. The West Palm Beach location will be the brand's first restaurant outside London and is expected to open in fall 2027. Founder and CEO Markus Thesleff said the U.S. launch is particularly meaningful because he studied in America. He called West Palm Beach "the perfect place" to begin the brand's next chapter, citing the city's transformation and Phillips Point's waterfront setting.
What The Phillips Point Restaurant Will Offer
The West Palm Beach location is planned as a flagship destination tailored to its waterfront setting. The concept will retain Los Mochis' Mexican-Japanese cuisine while adding experiences designed specifically for Florida. The restaurant will also include a 12-seat omakase restaurant and is expected to bring the brand's TENrei: The Art of Tuna experience to the United States. Additional details on the menu, design and programming are expected ahead of the opening.
What Related Ross Is Changing At Phillips Point
The restaurant arrives as Related Ross executes a major modernization of Phillips Point, which spans 449,000 square feet and has served as a major West Palm Beach office address for more than four decades. The renovation includes redesigned lobbies, energy-efficient infrastructure upgrades and a new colonnaded waterfront gallery with restaurants and retail along Flagler Drive, Lake View Avenue and Trinity Park. Related Ross expects the modernization to be completed by the end of 2026.
What Los Mochis Means For West Palm Beach
Los Mochis adds another international hospitality brand to a waterfront district that is attracting major corporate tenants, restaurants and new development. Related Ross says Phillips Point is part of a broader Flagler waterfront strategy connecting its office portfolio with dining, retail and public spaces. The restaurant is also only the first step in Los Mochis' U.S. expansion. The brand is planning a second location at One Beverly Hills in Los Angeles, with that restaurant currently expected in 2028.
What Comes Next For Los Mochis
With Phillips Point's modernization nearing completion, Los Mochis is positioned to become another high-profile dining anchor for West Palm Beach's increasingly upscale waterfront district. For Related Ross, the restaurant adds international culinary appeal to a major office asset as the city continues attracting businesses, residents and visitors.
