  • JP and Alfredo Garduño, founders of BPM Hospitality Management Consultants, are launching BRUMA at 73 NW 26th Street, Miami, FL 33127.
  • The new concept will open in October 2026, combining a daytime espresso café with an evening wine bar serving cocktails, bubbles, charcuterie and artisan cheeses.
  • BRUMA adds another independent food-and-beverage operator to a Wynwood corridor where retail demand remains active, even as new mixed-use projects continue adding storefront space. Miami-Dade retail vacancy fell to 3.0% in Q2 2026.

What The Garduño Brothers Are Bringing To Wynwood

Brothers JP and Alfredo Garduño are bringing their Chicago hospitality background and Mexican roots to Miami with BRUMA, their first independent concept. Located at 73 NW 26th Street, the restaurant is designed to function differently throughout the day. Guests will be able to stop in for espresso and work in the morning, then return for wine, cocktails and small bites in the evening. The concept reflects the growing demand for all-day hospitality in Wynwood, where restaurants, bars, cafés and retail operators increasingly serve both daytime residents and nighttime visitors.

What BRUMA Will Offer

BRUMA's menu will center on espresso drinks, espresso cocktails, curated wines, bubbles, charcuterie and artisan cheeses. The design will combine marble tabletops, brass details, crystal chandeliers and warm lighting, creating a setting intended to move from casual daytime café to more intimate evening wine bar. The brothers said the concept is inspired by neighborhood establishments they experienced in Chicago, where a single hospitality venue can become a regular gathering place rather than a destination reserved for special occasions.

What The Wynwood Retail Market Looks Like

BRUMA is entering a neighborhood where food and beverage remains a major component of new retail leasing. Recent projects have continued to add restaurant and café tenants. At Strata Wynwood, Newmark and Rockhill announced 6,253 square feet of new retail leases in 2026, including Paris Baguette, Miami MKT Bodega & Café and Eclipse Hot Yoga. Nearby, Wynwood 27 and Wynwood 28 are marketing more than 33,500 square feet of retail space across the two mixed-use properties, with existing tenants including Simona, Nino Gordo and Presidente Bar. Miami-Dade's broader retail market remains tight. Colliers reported 378,795 square feet of positive net absorption in Q2, while asking rents reached $42.50 per square foot NNN, up 2.6% from the prior quarter.

What BRUMA Means For Wynwood Landlords

For landlords, BRUMA's launch highlights the continued importance of food-and-beverage tenants in Wynwood's evolving retail mix. The neighborhood is simultaneously absorbing new apartments, offices, hotels and ground-floor retail. That creates a larger daytime customer base while established entertainment and hospitality uses continue drawing evening traffic. The Garduño brothers are targeting that overlap directly, creating a space intended to work across multiple dayparts rather than relying exclusively on dinner or nightlife. BRUMA is scheduled to open in October, with the exact date and operating hours still to be announced.
