Charles “Charlie” Russo joined Blanca Commercial Real Estate in October 2026 as Managing Director of Asset Management, Investment Advisory and Consulting. He brings extensive institutional real estate experience, having overseen more than $15 billion in assets under management and completed more than $5 billion in transactions.

Before joining Blanca, Russo served as Senior Director and Asset Management Lead for the East Region at Nuveen Real Estate, where he oversaw a portfolio of approximately 12 million square feet valued at $8.5 billion. He also led the repositioning, lease-up and sale of 701 Brickell, the second-largest office sale in Florida’s history.

Previously, Russo held roles at The Carlyle Group, GE Capital and Thor Equities, building experience across asset management, leasing, redevelopment and complex transactions. After leaving Nuveen, he advised a national life sciences firm, served on its investment committee and consulted for a global industrial developer.

At Blanca, Russo will help expand the firm’s asset management, investment advisory and consulting services, supporting property owners and investors with strategies to improve asset performance and achieve long-term investment objectives.

Education:
B.A. from Trinity College in Connecticut. He has also completed management and real estate programs at USC, NYU and UCLA.
