- The developers closed a $60 million construction loan from Dwight Mortgage Trust and broke ground in May 2026.
What Seventeen Gables Is Bringing To Coral Gables
Seventeen Gables is moving into its next sales phase as BAM Developers and Ascendra Capital open a dedicated sales gallery at 120 Aragon Ave. in Coral Gables.
The 117-unit project is already under construction along the Douglas Road corridor. The eight-story building is being positioned as an attainable-luxury condominium, with one-, two- and three-bedroom residences starting in the mid-$600,000s.
What Buyers Will See At The Sales Gallery
The new gallery was designed as an extension of the residential project, giving buyers a closer look at the building's finishes, architecture and amenities.
Asprea Studio, led by designer Karen Asprea, designed both the interiors and sales gallery. The space features natural materials, contemporary furnishings, a scale model of the building and a full-size model kitchen.
The design combines New York-inspired sophistication with Coral Gables' Mediterranean character, a theme that will carry into the completed building.
What The Project Includes
Seventeen Gables will feature a collection of residential and lifestyle amenities, including a fitness center, sauna, resort-style pool, resident lounge and coworking spaces.
The project will also include assigned parking and ground-floor retail. Its location near Douglas Road and 17th Streetputs residents within walking distance of Miracle Mile and provides access to Downtown Miami, Brickell and Miami International Airport.
What The Development Team Is Building
Mayer Berkovits, founder and CEO of BAM Development, is leading the project with David Steinberg, partner and CIO of Ascendra Capital.
Caymares Martin A&E Design is the architect of record, while Asprea Studio is responsible for interior design. Cervera Real Estate is handling exclusive sales and marketing.
The development is already backed by construction financing. Dwight Mortgage Trust provided the $60 million loan, allowing construction to begin before the sales gallery opened.
What The Timeline Means For Coral Gables
Construction began in May 2026, and the project is targeting delivery in Q1 2028. The sales gallery now gives prospective buyers an opportunity to see the design direction while the building is actively taking shape.
For South Florida residential investors, Seventeen Gables stands out for its combination of new construction, lower entry pricing and a walkable Coral Gables location at a time when much of the area's new condominium supply targets higher price points.
