William Lee joined Newmark in 2009 and leads the New York Financial Services Team. In this capacity, William provides a full range of analytical services to Newmark Capital Market’s diverse clients.
During his tenure with Newmark, William has been involved with the sale, financing and ground lease of major investment properties and development sites in the greater New York area. These projects include the sale-leaseback and partial redevelopment of the CME Group’s One North End Avenue in Manhattan; the sale of the residential development site at 109 Montgomery Street, on behalf of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden; and the sale of a 21-property portfolio of net-leased Citibank branches located throughout New York City.
Prior to joining Newmark, William worked with Deutsche Bank and Cushman & Wakefield in both real estate equity investment and commercial brokerage. At Deutsche Bank, he supported the management of the $2.5 billion East Coast portfolio of a comingled diversified commercial real estate equity fund consisting of office, industrial, multihousing and retail properties.
