Raymond Chera is a third generation real estate owner and developer. Having joined the firm in 2015, Raymond is a Managing Partner, where he leads property development, management and business operations. Prior to joining Penn South Capital, Raymond owned and operated a commercial real estate brokerage firm, specializing in the New York City Metropolitan area, he negotiated and signed leases with many national and regional tenants. Raymond and his family have been instrumental in the revival of many urban areas throughout New York City. Most notably, the Chera family owns and manages several commercial properties near the Barclays Center within the Fulton Mall in downtown Brooklyn. The Fulton Mall boasts tenants that include H&M, Adidas, Century21, Nordstrom Rack, Armani, Banana Republic, Macys, Neiman Marcus Last Call, and Sephora. With pillar commercial properties on Fordham Rd in the Bronx and Jamaica Avenue in Queens, Chera Realty has been pivotal in helping transform these once deteriorated neighborhoods in to some of the most frequently visiting shopping hubs in New York City.
