About

Philip Bowman is an Associate at Black Bear Asset Management (“BBAM”). As an Associate, Mr. Bowman is responsible for evaluating and underwriting investments in accordance with the firm’s investment criteria. Additionally, Mr. Bowman assists in the placement of debt, facilitates related transactions, and provides overall support with respect to the firm’s general operations. Prior to joining BBAM, Mr. Bowman was an Investment Sales Associate at Avison Young (“AY”), where he worked alongside James P. Nelson, Principal and Head of Tri-State Investment Sales, focusing on the sale and disposition of Manhattan multi-family and mixed-use assets in excess of $1.6 billion. While at AY, his primary responsibilities included deal sourcing and execution. Prior to joining AY, Mr. Bowman was an Investment Sales Associate at Cushman & Wakefield (“C&W”). While at C&W, his team was ranked C&W’s #1 Investment Sales team nationwide. Mr. Bowman is also a licensed real estate broker in New York State. Mr. Bowman holds a B.A. in Political Science from Colgate University with a minor in Economics. Prior to Colgate, he attended Deerfield Academy where he played soccer and lacrosse
