Peter was born in San Francisco and has continued as the third generation of a prominent real estate family in the Bay Area. At Loyola Marymount University, Peter played Division I basketball with distinction as a multi-year National Scholar Athlete as well as Academic All-Conference, graduating with a B.A. degree in Communication Studies in 1998.
