With more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, Mikko Erkamaa, Senior Director, provides financing solutions to commercial real estate developers and owners nationwide. Mr. Erkamaa has extensive knowledge of and experience in originating, structuring, placing, and closing a broad range of property types including multifamily, retail, industrial, and office. Throughout his career, he has originated and closed more than $2.6 billion in debt transactions and has facilitated the acquisition of commercial real estate properties worth more than $300 million.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Erkamaa was a vice president at Grandbridge Real Estate Capital. Previously, Mr. Erkamaa spent time at Collateral Real Estate Capital, L.J. Melody & Company, Captec Net Lease Realty, a publicly traded REIT based in Ann Arbor, Mich., and Principal Life Insurance Company.
Mr. Erkamaa earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. He is a member of the ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers).
