Mike Cerny joined Berkadia Medical & Life Sciences in November 2022 as Vice President – Originations where he focuses on debt placement and JV equity structuring. He is an accomplished senior level professional with over 23 years of diverse experience in commercial real estate and healthcare real estate finance. During the past 11 years in healthcare real estate finance, Mike directly contributed to closing over $2.3 billion in loan commitments. Prior to joining Berkadia, Mike was a Director focused on underwriting and executing medical office and life science loans for Wells Fargo’s specialty real estate finance group. He previously held similar senior level roles for Capital One and GE Capital. Mike’s commercial real estate experience includes asset management for a publicly traded REIT, acquisitions for a private fund and he was previously a broker at Cushman & Wakefield. Mike received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Calvin University and achieved the CCIM designation in 2016.
