About

Career summary Michael is a Senior Managing Director in the Orange County office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas. He joined JLL as part of the HFF acquisition and has more than 25 years of institutional real estate investment experience. Michael is responsible for overseeing the West Coast Investment Advisory Group, which specializes in institutional-grade assets consisting of office, R&D, industrial, hospitality, medical office and retail assets located throughout the western United States. He also co-leads JLL’s National Office Group and is a member of the Private Equity Group, which is focused on raising equity capital for joint venture structures. Michael joined HFF in May 2009 to start the West Coast Investment Advisory Group. Prior to HFF, he founded two companies — Cornish & Carey San Francisco and C&C Capital — through structuring joint ventures with Cornish & Carey Commercial. Before that, he spent 14 years at CB Richard Ellis, Inc., where he focused solely on institutional disposition assignments on the West Coast. Mr. Leggett has closed more than $25 billion in real estate transactions.
