About
Michael Achtman joined the ORION team in 2015 with a focus on retail leasing. Beginning his career in commercial real estate at Retail Brokers, Inc. in 2007, he worked on leasing shopping centers and tenant representation. At Retail Brokers, Inc. he worked on a wide range of projects, including being an integral part of the strategic development for Arizona State University Downtown campus’ retail component.
Through his tireless work ethic and dedication to doing things the precise way, Achtman has helped build the leasing department of ORION and was promoted to Vice President in 2017. He has successfully worked on new construction, ground leases, build to suites, and “traditional” retail leasing; Achtman closed nearly 30 deals in 2017.
Just prior to joining ORION, Achtman lived in Tucson managing one of the cities’ largest metals recycling companies. He is excited to be living and working in his hometown of Phoenix once again. Achtman also cherishes the opportunity to return to commercial real estate, an industry he has a true passion for.
