Matthew Novak is a Partner at Berkeley Partners and is a member of the Investment Committee. Mr. Novak co-leads the investments team and leads the asset management division. He is responsible for the overall operations of the firm including leading the executive team. He started his career with Arthur Andersen in San Francisco in the Real Estate Valuation Group. He then spent over five years on the investment management team for National Office Partners (a partnership of CalPERS and Hines); focusing on portfolio and asset management for over $1 billion of assets. Prior to joining Berkeley in 2012, Mr. Novak worked as a developer in the Bay Area focusing on entitlements and project management of infill development projects. Mr. Novak is a Policy Advisory Board member at the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics at the University of California at Berkeley and a member of the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Novak holds a BA in Economics from Cornell University. Matt is based in the San Francisco Bay Area office.
