Matthew F. Holmes (Matt), Co-founder and serves as Principal of Retail West Inc. Mr. Holmes has been involved with retail commercial real estate since 1990 and has participated in over 350 transactions since that time. For the first ten years of his career, Mr. Holmes was affiliated with Epsteen & Associates, a boutique retail real estate brokerage with three offices in California, serving as principal partner & co-owner of the San Francisco office. Over that period, Mr. Holmes and his firm exclusively represented some of the nation's most dynamic retail chains, including Starbucks Coffee, Williams Sonoma, Inc., Kinko's Copies, Chili's Restaurants (Brinker International), Petco Animal Supplies, Whole Foods Markets and a bevy of lesser known, aspiring, young retail chains. Mr. Holmes' former partner, Michael Epsteen, is the founder of the nation's most elite network of retail brokers, Chain Links.
